Mendip Times – July 2014

The first part of Les’s column for the July Mendip Times is a very touching tribute to an old friend, Ron White of Paywell Farmhouse, who died not long ago. For Les, Ron epitomised ‘The Mendiper’ and his words about him are well worth a read.

In particular, from Ron came the most valuable piece of advice that carried Les on to work for himself: “Course see, we don’t work for people we don’t like.”

Les also talks about the Bath & West show, where he received his Coopers Trophy award. He also gives some very useful advice about checking for ticks if you’ve been out on the hill.
