Winter Wassail at the Community Farm

Chew Valley Community Farm

Chew Valley Community Farm

Wassails are the main calendar event for January, when the sleeping apple trees will be woken from their winter’s rest and encouraged to think about giving a good crop for the coming year. (Read more about this in Les’ January column for the Mendip Times.)

On January 25th, Les will be hosting the wassail at Chew Valley Community Farm. The Wassail event runs during the afternoon from 2pm to 5pm and includes mulled cider and apple juice, a warming fire and lots of activities including welly wanging!
