Les with Flower (1956)
To mark becoming President of The Mendip Society, Les will be giving his autobiographic talk “To Follow the Plough” this Thursday (April 20th) at St James’ Church Hall, Winscombe.
It’s the story of the North Somerset farm workers’ family into which Les was born, of a way of life that will never return, and how it shaped his future. Full of family photos and reminiscences, this is a very personal view of a rural upbringing.
